TODAYS TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

Dean Kilbryde picks out his best bets of the day and heads to Perth for both of Wednesday's selections. 14:48 PERTH

Mister Meggit was well supported in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices Hurdle at Aintree and travelled nicely through his race, although was passed by two rivals close home so is still yet to entirely convince over staying trips.

Horaces Pearl lost his unbeaten record when finding Grade 1 company a little too hot to handle at Aintree earlier in the month, however drops back to Listed level today and should be able to regain the winning threat now upped in trip.

Intense Approach failed to finish in the Albert Bartlett when last seen but had won his two prior runs, both over three miles, in impressive fashion and looks the most likely to put it up to our selection. Willie Mullins sends three as he tries to chase down Dan Skelton for the trainers’ title, with jockey bookings suggesting Kiss Will is his main challenger.

HORACES PEARL (WIN)

15:18 PERTH

El Elefante is a likeable sort who is a prior course winner and should give another good account, however it’s tough to get away from Fun Fun Fun for win purposes. The Willie Mullins trained seven year old excelled when stepped up in trip last time out, winning a Limerick Grade 3 by thirteen lengths, and only runs off 2lbs more than all rivals despite being rated 12lbs and upwards clear. A run anywhere near her last would ensure another victory today.
