TODAYS TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

15:48 LEOPARDSTOWN

Mutasarref won two Group 3 races here at Leopardstown last season, one over seven furlongs and one over a mile, and also finished second behind Diego Velasquez in a Group 2 over course and distance. That form is standout, however in the last couple of years he’s needed that first run of the season to blow away the cobwebs and such it could be worth taking him on with Uluru who was only beaten a neck on first run last season and although couldn’t find a win over the course of the year he ran an excellent race for third in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot and also ran well in a couple of Group 3 races over the summer. His trainer has won the last two renewals of this race and at the foot of the weights his runner looks sure to go well.

ULURU (WIN)

16:35 NOTTINGHAM

Just the four runners yet despite the low turnout it promises to be a cracker. Al Qareem is yet to win over this trip but does have winning course form and as a prior Group 2 and dual Group 3 winner is the class act in the race. He could only manage third in France on return last month but that should put him spot on for this.

Align The Stars is unbeaten in two over the trip and loves rattling fast ground so looks the biggest danger, although Real Dream ran well for third at 33/1 at Kempton last month and could step forward from that and Divine Comedy is a prior course and distance winner and gets weight from all so all in all it should be a decent race to watch unfold.

AL QAREEM (WIN)
