15.10 RIPON
Green Pursuit will be popular having been well backed on stable debut to win at Catterick eight days ago. He is only 1 lb well-in with a 6lb penalty for his class 5 success, and as a hold-up horse with 7f potential he may be vulnerable here at Ripon.
Cairdeas has form racing more prominently on undulating tracks at a higher level and sneaks into this 0-80 off 81. The gelded 3yo is the only entry on the card for Cieren Fallon and the in-form William Haggas who has a great record here.

15.42 RIPON
The lightly-raced American Bay improved for the drop to 6f for Harry Charlton last season and was purchased for £30k in the Autumn by Paul Midgley. Paul’s horses are running better than initially appears on second starts after their pipe-openers and American Bay is an each-way shout from a good draw against a lot of sprinters making their seasonal debut.
Fortamour loves it at Ripon but his 2022 and 2024 victories in this race were not on seasonal debut and Dakota Gold for Michael Dods may also need this run first time out.
