The sharp track at Hereford and spring ground undoubtedly suits Time Interval and he looks well-handicapped in terms of his 10f flat form under ideal conditions with Harry Cobden on board. Conversely Across Earth has more stamina in his flat form and may have to wait for a tougher test to break through over hurdles. Captain Attridge also likes it here but may need this run after six months off and could find it hard to outpoint Time Interval who could still progress beyond this grade.

Coramento recently defeated Wyvern and Just Typical over course and distance and is fancied again to come out on top against some exposed opposition. The lightly-raced 4y.o won under a hands and heels ride under Rhys Elliott on stable debut and a 5lb rise should not be too much of a hindrance now he has winning form to frank his previous promise. Urban Dandy is a consistent horse and enjoys the straight mile at Newcastle and could prove the main opposition.
