Kado De Joie has looked a horse that could improve beyond this grade as he steps up in distance. The 5 y.o has been hitting flat spots before ultimately winning well twice under James Bowen over shorter this season. Nicky Henderson’s gelding was given a lot to do last time and has form on good ground and should go close here.

A lack of pace may give him most to fear but Mostly Sunny and Jazz King race prominently and can make it a good test.

Julie Camacho’s yard is in great form with four winners from the last six runners and has two live chances on the card with Beraz and Kuroor (20.00). Beraz made a promising comeback after a wind op recently and is in a lower class than usual now having dropped a few pounds. Callum Rodriguez was 4-8 in 2024 for the yard with a great long-term strike rate too.

Asgard’s Captain loves the course and distance and is respected to repeat his win in this last year and is the main danger against a mix of opposition with inexperienced jockeys, a lack of course form or long layoffs to overcome.
