The consistent if one-paced Dark Mystery may attract support alongside the lightly-raced Blue Sky Boy but Doublethetrouble knows how to win and seems a better each-way choice back over a more galloping track.

However all may struggle to fend off Further Measure who only has a 4lb penalty for a comfortable course and distance win last week.  That wasn’t a great race but other recent efforts suggest another strong performance here.

Porfin will be a warm order following a comfortable 2l win at Lingfield last week but the 7y.o hasn’t run well here for a while and this is a very different stamina test from a draw that may demand an aggressive ride to hold a prominent position. Coconut Bay could go well at a price from a kinder draw this time, Anamika may also be building up to a breakthrough win. Miss Calculation ran a decent comeback race and may enjoy this 7f but preference is for Hawajes as a solid each-way alternative with winning Southwell form some consistent efforts in recent weeks.
