A competitive affair for which you can make a case for numerous candidates. Steel Ally will look to put a disappointing performance at Ascot behind him whilst Blueking d’Oroux has ran well in more competitive races but has form to find on others. Nemean Lion has enjoyed his recent outings over two and a half miles and you’d be foolish to discount him. Salver did well off top weight in the Gerry Fielden and was unlucky when falling at Cheltenham. He looks set to get back to winning ways today.

SALVER (WIN)

15:10 HEREFORD

Star of Guiting is the most experienced in the race and he probably justified favouritism. However, he wouldn’t like to see any rain beforehand. Mad Maxios is related to La Patriote and connections are in good form. He could be best left watched on his debut. Laughing John wasn’t disgraced behind Star Of Guiting on his debut and he’ll come on for that run. He’s unexposed and might have the most upside.
