FROM THE OFF

Former jockey Liam Hall gives his thoughts on some maiden's he expects to claim their first success this weekend.

SATURDAY

16:25 NEWBURY

Connect The Dots made a winning debut at Catterick but would have to improve to be good enough to get involved in a race of this nature. At The Oche won a much deeper bumper on debut when winning at Doncaster and could get involved. Wondering Why & My Fortune bring good strong pedigrees to the table and both could be solid each way options in a wide open bumper.

WONDERING WHY (E/W)

MY FORTUNE (E/W)

16:45 KELSO

Kiwi Rush is likely to be sent off favourite especially with Patrick Mullins jocked up but this looks much deeper than last time and will need to improve but it's C&D form stands it in good stead. Out Of The Woods went off unfancied at Ayr (16/1) but did it very nicely with the runner up going on to win over hurdles. Humble Jumble won nicely on debut and travelled through that race quite smartly and could go off a nice each way price, with Out Of The Woods it could be a Lucinda Russell reverse forecast also.

OUT OF THE WOODS (WIN)

HUMBLE JUMBLE (E/W)

17:40 NAVAN

Burrows Drive brings into this race strong form after finishing third and second in two bumpers, very likely to be involved. Delorean Dynamite brings a pedigree full of bumper performers and could make their presence felt on debut. Chasing Blue was a horse I'd tipped up early March before it was a non runner, a horse highly regarded and by the top stallion Walk In The Park, might be too good for these.

CHASING BLUE (WIN)

SUNDAY

17:13 LIMERICK

Oneinthewell and Eternal Echo look closely matched on their dual last time, Eternal Echo is 7lb better off this time for a 1 length defeat so should reverse the form. Carrigmoorna Beach looked much the best on making a winning debut and could follow up here. Out of the newcomers keep an eye on Thiscouldbetheone, very much liked by the stable and is a full brother to City Island who this yard won a bumper with and won a grade 1 novice hurdle with. Could be smart

CARRIGMOORNA BEACH (WIN)

THISCOULDBETHEONE (E/W)

THISCOULDBETHEONE (E/W TURNERS NOVICE HURDLE CHELTENHAM)

17:23 EXETER

A very tricky four runner point to point bumper. Couer d'Alene is probably bottom of the four on form but Jockey and Trainer are the most experienced in the field. Caracara being by Falco should be ideal for bumpers but would need to step up on her debut run. Lady Kloppenheim was quite impressive in a very small field so would need to improve here, Amatchmadeinheaven was sent off relatively unfancied on debut but she clearly knew her job, making all and nothing could live with her. If she reproduces that performance here then she'll be very hard to peg back.

AMATCHMADEINHEAVEN (WIN)
