Despite not winning in all fifteen starts since changing to the yard of Michael Dods King's Crown has shown glimmers of hope and his recent fourth placed effort showed promise. It's hard to be overly confident about a horse who's only won once in his career but this evening could be the night he makes his long awaited return to the Winners Enclosure.
The very consistent Bomb Squad makes plenty of appeal and you couldn't put anyone backing the seven year old however the one the looks to be the biggest threat to the selection is Shamardia, especially with the intriguing jockey booking of Richard Kingscote.

Current race favourite Miggy Magic looks the one to side with after his close second here last time out. He may have gone up in the weights but that shouldn't be enough to stop the bold grey going one better this time around.
Nelson Gay won his only previous course start but that was on the old Fibresand surface and hasn't returned to the Midlands venue since. Could be one for each-way punters if acting on the new conditions.
