BEST OF THE REST (SATURDAY)

Rory Paddock takes a look at the action away from the ITV cameras this Saturday and aims to bash the bookies with some alternative selections.
17:17 MUSSELBURGH
Former course and distance winner Zarzyni looks the obvious choice in what we’re hoping is the “lucky last” at Musselburgh this Saturday. A third here last Sunday should stand him in good stead and with a fitness edge over some of his rivals he can reverse the form with Only Spoofing and Knicks.
Another worth mentioning is the Oisin Murphy ridden Balon D’Or.
ZARZYNI (WIN)
17:20 WOLVERHAMPTON
The second selection comes in the opening race on Saturday nights card from Wolverhampton where Wyvern gets the vote. If truth be told it’d be a more confident selection if he were lining up at Newcastle but with a previous victory here at Wolverhampton it’s not a drastic disadvantage. Now below his last winning mark he might not be the force of old but if he’s on a going day is capable of claiming a race at this level.
Billy McGarry looks a clear danger after winning his last two starts, and at a bigger price, Olympic Quest can outperform her current odds.
